Davey “Blade” Pitkavish carved his path straight out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he first picked up a guitar at age seven. After nearly a decade of lessons and woodshedding, he shifted to bass at sixteen—a move that would eventually define his signature sound.
By 1988, Los Angeles called, and Davey answered. He spent his early years in the city tearing through the local scene until fate put him in front of industry legend Howie Huberman. One introduction later, Davey found himself jamming at C.C. DeVille’s house—an encounter that launched him into high-gear.
From there, the road led to Nitro, where he held down the low end for two explosive years. After his run with Nitro, he joined Roadhouse, a band that made serious noise in the scene. Along the way, he stacked up countless gigs with groups back East, building a reputation as a hard-hitting, no-nonsense player.
In 2021, Davey joined Joe Riley & The Hellhounds, marking the beginning of a full-throttle comeback. Two years later, he returned to Los Angeles, ready to unleash the next chapter.
Throughout his career, Davey Blade has earned endorsements from Randall, Cort, Guild, and Washburn—a testament to the force he brings to every stage.
