Carlos Cruz was born in Santa Monica, California, forged in Detroit, and fire-hardened in Austin, Texas. Growing up on a steady diet of Hard Rock, Southern Rock, and Heavy Metal, Carlos found his voice early—powerful, gritty, and built for the stage.

At just 16, he formed his first band, TRIAXE, igniting his journey in the heart of Detroit’s rock scene. When life pulled him to Austin, he dove headfirst into the local circuit, joining Satyre, where he cut his teeth opening for major national touring acts. Those shows lit the fuse—live performance became his addiction.

Never one to stay still, Carlos hit the road again, this time landing in Florida. He quickly claimed the mic as frontman for The Bushhounds, recording the full-length album Long Road and sharing stages with some of rock’s most legendary names.

But California was calling. Carlos eventually returned to Los Angeles, where he unleashed his most powerful chapter yet: STONEBREED. Under his leadership, Stonebreed dropped two full-length albums—the self-titled debut and Heart of Stone—along with the singles “Tonight” and the anthemic “The Whisky.”

Whether he’s writing, recording, or tearing up a stage, Carlos Cruz lives and breathes rock ’n’ roll. The spotlight is his home, the stage is his sanctuary, and performing is where he’s truly alive.
